- I have a bunch of old local files in Spotify that I can't play nor delete. I tried your solution but I have no 'local-files.bnk' in my '%appdata% Spotify Users '. Edit: I unliked them on my phone, and it worked.

Make sure:
Go to the Settings menu in the Spotify app. Check what it says next to 'Subscription.' If it does not say 'PREMIUM,' this is why you cannot download songs. Here are the instructions: Go to the Control Panel. Click Programs and Features. Select Spotify in the list and click uninstall. Windows download - Spotify Click the install file to finish up. If your download didn't start, try again. Close Spotify from the App Switcher (by double pressing the Home Button to display the cards and sliding Spotify's card upwards as if throwing it away) - Launch Spotify again from the Home Screen - Go to 'My Songs' from the sliding side menu - Switch the Offline Toggle off and then back on. - Scroll to Local Files and switch Show Local Files on.
- Switch off any sources you don't want.
- Click ADD A SOURCE to select another folder.
Music from that folder is now in Local Files in the menu on the left.

Note: Some of your files may be protected in restricted formats. Install QuickTime on your computer to allow most of these tracks to be played on Spotify.
